Refrigerator - Replace hinge

Do you want to replace the hinge of your refrigerator, but you don't know exactly how to do it? No problem, with this step-by-step plan you'll have it fixed in no time!

What do you need?

Always start first:

  • Unplug the part.
  • Tip: When disassembling the old part, take regular pictures, so you can easily see how to reassemble the new part.

Replacing the refrigerator hinge:

1. Remove the old hinges.
Remove the top of the refrigerator by unscrewing the screws. Loosen the top and bottom hinge with a screwdriver. Lift the door and set it aside. Unscrew the old hinges from the door.

2. Install the new hinges.
Secure the new hinges to the door by tightening the screws. Place the door back on the refrigerator. Reattach the hinges to the refrigerator. Replace the top and re-tighten the screws. You have replaced the hinges on your refrigerator!
