Use of our web shop involves the processing of sensitive private personal data. FixPart exercises extreme care when handling your personal data. We process all personal data carefully and securely.

In our processing, we adhere to the requirements of relevant privacy legislation. This means, inter alia, that we:

  • Clearly specify our purposes before we process personal data, through this privacy policy;
  • Limit our collection of personal data to only those data required for legitimate purposes;
  • Ask you for your explicit consent to process your personal data in cases where your consent is required;
  • Apply appropriate security measures to protect your personal data and also require this of parties who process personal data on our behalf;
  • Respect your right to view, correct or delete your personal data at your request.

FixPart is the data controller. In this privacy policy, we explain what personal data we collect and use at fixpart.ie and for what purpose. We recommend that you read the information carefully.

Your account

Some areas of our web shop require you to register before using them. You must then provide information about yourself and choose a username. With this, we create an account for you, to which you can log in with your username and a password of your choice. To this end, we use your name and address, telephone number, billing address, e-mail address, payment details, gender, date of birth, IP address and appliance data. We do this on the basis of your consent. We will retain this information until you close your account.

We store this information so that you do not need to enter it again each time and so that we can contact you in relation to execution of the agreement. You can change information through your account whenever you want to.

Order processing

When you place an order with us, we use your personal data to process it. We may pass your personal data on to our delivery service so that the order can be delivered to you. We also receive payment information from your bank or credit card company.

To this end, we use your name and address, telephone number, billing address, e-mail address, payment details, gender, date of birth, IP address and appliance data. We need these data because of the agreement that we are concluding with you. We store this information until your order is completed. We store certain customer data for a longer period of time to comply with the statutory tax retention obligation and in order to combat fraud.

Communication to third parties
We work with certain companies to whom we pass on the aforementioned personal data.

We work with the following for order processing purposes:

  • Our payment provider MultiSafepay
  • Our suppliers

When placing your order, if you are logged into your account, you can choose to save your credit card for subsequent purchases. If you choose this option, the card details will be stored on the secure servers of our payment provider MultiSafepay on behalf of FixPart. You hereby give MultiSafepay permission to collect this card data. You can delete your card details via 'My details' in your account or 'forget' them when choosing a payment method in the ordering process.

Contact form and Newsletter

You can use the contact form to ask questions or submit requests. To this end, we use your name and address, telephone number, billing address, e-mail address, payment details, gender, date of birth, IP address and appliance data. We do this on the basis of your consent. We will retain this information until we are satisfied that you are happy with our reply.

We offer a newsletter to inform interested parties about our products and/or services. Every newsletter contains a link that you can click on to unsubscribe. You can also submit a request to unsubscribe through your account.

We use your e-mail address and electronic data obtained as part of your purchase to inform you about similar products and services once your purchase is complete. You may object to this by using the unsubscribe option offered in all of our communication. Your e-mail address and electronic contact details will not be passed on to third parties.

Your e-mail address will automatically be added to the list of subscribers. These data are stored until you cancel your subscription.

Statistics and profiling

We maintain statistics on the use of our web shop. We use these statistics to improve our web shop – for example, to display only relevant information. We may combine your personal data to learn more about you. We will respect your privacy at all times. If you do not want us to do this, you can let us know. To this end, we use your name and address, telephone number, payment details, gender, date of birth, IP address and appliance data. We do this on the basis of your consent. We retain this information for a period of one year.

Communication to third parties
We work with certain companies to whom we pass on the aforementioned personal data.

Posting of reviews on the website

You can leave a review for us. We use the requisite personal data to publish your review on our website. To this end, we use your name and address, e-mail address and date of birth. We do this on the basis of your consent. We store this information.

Advertising

We would like to send you advertisements about offers and new products or services. We do this:

  • By post
  • By e-mail
  • Through social media

You can object to this advertising at any time. Each communication explains how to do this. Every e-mail that we send contains an unsubscribe link. You can block us or use the unsubscribe option. You can also submit a request to unsubscribe through your account.

Communication to other companies or institutions

With the exception of the aforementioned partners, under no circumstances will we pass on your personal data to other companies or institutions, except where we are legally obliged to do so (e.g. if the police demand it in the case of a suspected crime).

Cookies

Our web shop uses cookies. Cookies are small files in which we store information so that you do not have to enter it every time you visit our website. They also allows us to see that you are visiting us again.

When you visit our web shop for the first time, we display a message explaining our use of cookies. We will ask for your consent to the use of these cookies.

You can disable cookies in your browser, but some parts of our web shop will then no longer function properly.

We have made agreements on the use of cookies with other companies that place cookies on your computer. Nevertheless, we do not have full control over what they do with those cookies. Please also read their privacy polices (please note that these can change regularly).

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to track how visitors use our web shop. We have concluded a processor agreement with Google. This contains strict agreements on what Google is permitted to retain. We allow Google to use the Analytics information obtained for other Google services. We do not allow Google to anonymise IP addresses.

Security

We take the security of personal data extremely seriously. We ensure that your data are properly protected. We adjust security constantly and look closely at what could go wrong.

Changes to this privacy policy

We reserve the right to make changes to this privacy policy. We recommend that you consult this privacy policy regularly so that you are aware of any changes. We will do our best to announce changes separately.

Viewing, correcting and deleting your data

If you have any questions or want to know what personal data we hold about you, please contact us. You can find the contact details below.

You have the following rights:

  • To be told what personal data we have about you and what we do with those data and to view to the exact personal data we have about you
  • To have errors corrected
  • To have (outdated) personal data deleted
  • To withdraw consent
  • To object to a particular use

In accordance with Article 18 of the GDPR, you also have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data if:

  • You deny the accuracy of the data
  • Processing is unlawful, but you refuse to have the data deleted
  • We no longer need the data, but you need them to initiate, exercise or defend legal claims
  • You have objected to processing in accordance with Article 21 of the GDPR.

Please ensure that you clearly state who you are so that we can be sure not to correct or delete data belonging to someone else.

Submitting a complaint

If you feel that we are not helping you in the right way, you have the right to complain to the regulator. This is known as the Data Protection Authority.
