Dishwasher - Preventing limescale

Difficulty: Easy
Estimated time: ± 5 minutes

Fortunately, there are several ways to prevent limescale. Read here how to prevent limescale easily!

Prevent and fix limescale on dishes:

Adding rinse aid
If there is not enough rinse aid in the dishwasher then limescale can be the result. Check whether the dishwasher still has sufficient rinse aid. The flap or dial indicated by a star/snowflake can be opened and refilled with rinse aid.

Adding regeneration salt
The salt level may be too low. Check this and add regeneration salt if necessary. Consult your dishwasher's manual for this. You can also check whether the dishwasher's water hardness setting is correct.

The correct number is the type- or model number and NOT the serial number. The model number is a row of numbers and/or letters. Sometimes the model number contains a hyphen (-) or a forward slash (/).
