Extractor hood - Replace the motor

Do you need to replace the motor of your extractor hood? This step-by-step plan will get it done in no time!

What do you need?

Always first:

  • Plug out of the socket.
  • Tip: When disassembling the old part, take regular pictures, so you can easily see how to reassemble the new part.

Replacing the motor of the cooker hood:

1. Remove the protective cover.
Take out the grease filters by pressing the lock. Loosen the screws of the protective cover that surrounds the motor and remove the cover. 

2. Take out the old motor.
Loosen the screws of the crown strip. Disconnect the wiring. Loosen the screws on the motor and take out the old motor.

3. Insert the new motor.
Insert the new motor and tighten the screws. Reattach the wiring.

4. Replace the protective cover.
Replace the protective cover and tighten the screws. Replace the grease filters. Well done! You have replaced the motor of your extractor hood.
