Dishwasher - Labyrinth replacement

Want to replace your dishwasher's labyrinth, but not sure how? No worries, with this step-by-step plan you'll have it fixed in no time!

What do you need?

  • Labyrinth
  • Screwdriver

Always first:

  • Unplug the power cord.
  • Turn off the faucet.
  • Tip: When disassembling the old part, take pictures frequently, so you can easily see how to reassemble the new part.

Replacing the dishwasher labyrinth:

1. Take off the side panel of the dishwasher.
On the side where the water supply hose enters the unit, detach the side panel from the dishwasher by unscrewing the screws. In some cases, the top panel must first be removed from the unit to do this.

2. Pull the hose loose.
Remove the washer from the hose and pull the hose loose from the labyrinth. 

3. Remove the old labyrinth from the dishwasher.
Disconnect the wiring by pushing the latch back with a screwdriver. Unscrew the cap of the labyrinth in the tub. Remove the old labyrinth from the dishwasher.

4. Insert the new labyrinth into the dishwasher.
Place the new labyrinth where the old labyrinth was and tighten the cap in the tub again. Reattach the wiring. Reconnect the hose including the washer.

5. Replace the housing.
Replace the side panel and possibly the top panel by tightening the screws. Your dishwasher is ready for use again!
