Always first:
- Unplug the power cord.
- Turn off the water tap.
- Tip: Take photos while removing the old part, so you can easily see how to fit the new part later.
1. Remove the door from the washing machine
Open the washing machine door. Unscrew the screws from the hinge and carefully remove the door from the appliance.
2. Loosen the old door seal
Use a screwdriver to loosen the outer retaining clip that holds the door seal in place. Then pull the door seal and push it into the drum. If needed, remove the front to get easier access to the door seal – first take off the top and remove the control panel. Then remove the fixing clamp. If the counterweights are in the way, loosen them as well.
3. Fit the new door seal in the washing machine
Fit the new door seal where the old one was by placing it in the groove near the drum and securing it with the retaining clip. You can use a bit of soap to help the new door seal slide in more easily.
4. Put all the parts back on the washing machine
Put the counterweights back and secure them. Attach the locking ring of the soap drawer, then put the front, control panel and top back on. Pull the door seal tightly around the door opening of the front panel. Finally, fit the retaining clip around the door seal.
