Replacing the vacuum cleaner motor:
1. Remove the protective cover from the motor.
Open the cover or lid of your vacuum cleaner. Remove the dust bag and filters from the vacuum cleaner. The motor is hidden behind a protective cover. This is usually secured with screws. Loosen the screws holding this protective cover and remove the protective cover from the motor.
2. Remove the old motor from the unit.
Disconnect the wiring from the motor. You may want to take a picture of how the wiring is attached first. This will make it easier to connect the new motor. Remove the old motor from the unit.
3. Insert the new motor into the unit.
Place the new motor in the vacuum and reconnect the wiring. If necessary, look at the picture of the wiring taken earlier. Replace the motor cover and tighten the screws. Place the dust bag and filters back into the unit and close the cover.
The motor has been replaced and the vacuum cleaner is ready for use again!
