A defective motor is, of course, very annoying. A vacuum cleaner motor can overheat due to a blockage. Therefore first check if you can find a blockage somewhere. An overheated motor could also be caused by clogged/bad filters. It is wise to have a mechanic look at it first. Replacing the motor in the vacuum cleaner is not very easy, but you can certainly do it yourself!

The correct number is the type or model number and NOT the serial number. The model number is a series of numbers and/or letters. Sometimes the model number contains a hyphen (-) or a forward slash (/).
