Tumble dryer - Replace heating element

Always do this first:
- Unplug the heating element.
- Tip: When disassembling the old part, take regular pictures, so you can easily see how to reassemble the new part.
Replacing the heating element of the clothes dryer:
1. Detach the back plate of the clothes dryer.
Turn the clothes dryer over and loosen the back plate by unscrewing the screws.
2. Remove the protective cover from the heating element.
The heating element is often located behind a protective cover at the back of the appliance. Detach this protective cover by loosening the screws.
3. Disconnect the heating element wiring.
Disconnect the heating element wiring. In some cases, the side panel may need to be removed before accessing the wiring. If necessary, loosen the screws on the side panel.
4. Remove the heating element from the unit.
Loosen the screws holding the heating element in place. Tilt the heating element out of the clothes dryer brackets.
5. Insert the new heating element into the appliance.
Place the new heating element in the same place where the old heating element was. Tilt the holders of the clothes dryer. Reconnect the wiring. Re-tighten the screws holding the heating element in place. Replace the heating element protective cover.
6. Replace the housing.
Replace the side panel and back plate and screw them in place. The heating element has been replaced and the clothes dryer is ready for use again!
