Always first:
- Unplug the appliance.
- Tip: While taking out the old part, take photos regularly so you can easily see how to put the new part back together.
1. Remove the housing
Undo the screws at the back. Slide the casing backwards and then lift it off to remove it.
2. Discharge the capacitor
Before you start the repair, it's important to discharge the capacitor first, as it may still hold a high voltage. Use an insulated tool and carefully connect the two terminals of the capacitor to discharge it.
3. Remove the old suppression filter
First, disconnect all cables. It's handy to take a photo beforehand so you know how to reconnect the cables later. Then remove the old suppression filter.
4. Install the new suppression filter
Place the new suppression filter where the old one was. Reconnect the cables to the correct terminals.
