Step-by-step plan

Always first:

  • Unplug the appliance.
  • Turn off the water tap.
  • Tip: Take photos regularly when removing the old part, so you can easily see how to fit the new spare part.

1. Loosen the bottom of the dishwasher

In most cases, the drain hose runs into the appliance at the back via the underside. Carefully lay the dishwasher on its front or side. You can loosen the underside by pressing in the clips with a flathead screwdriver. On some appliances, there are screws here, so use a screwdriver to remove them.

2. Detach the drain hose

The drain hose is fixed in the machine with a locking ring or in a tube. You can loosen the locking ring with pliers. In some cases, the drain hose is held in place by a hose holder or sealing ring.

3. Insert the new drain hose

Place the new drain hose in the appliance, just like the old one was fitted. First, push the hose through the opening in the back wall. Secure it again by placing the hose in the right spot.

4. Replace the housing

Reattach the bottom of the dishwasher. You can do this by clicking the underside back into the retaining clips.
