Coffee machine - Cleaning the appliance
For the quality of the coffee and the life of the machine, it is important that you clean your coffee maker regularly. Cleaning a coffee maker is easier than you think.
What do you need?
- Cleaning vinegar
- Water
Cleaning the coffee maker:
1. Clean the drip tray.
Start by cleaning the drip tray by emptying and rinsing it to make sure there are no coffee residues left in it. When clean, replace the drip tray.
2. Clean the machine.
Fill the water tank 2/3 full with water and 1/3 full with cleaning vinegar. Then start the descaling function if your machine has this function. The entire water tank will be flushed through the machine.
If your coffee maker does not have a descaling function, make a large pot of coffee. In this way the contents of the water tank will still flow through the machine and all the through pipes will be thoroughly cleaned. Pour out the coffee pot and rinse it well.
3. Rinse the machine.
Then fill the water tank again with clean water and repeat the process to rinse the machine thoroughly.
Your coffee maker is clean and ready to use again!
